THERE ARE NO GIMMICKS, NO GADGETS, AND NO RUSHED APPOINTMENTS.
Dr. Clark believes that chiropractic care and massage therapy, coupled with your own body's ability to heal, will be a powerful combination in your journey to wellness. Manual therapy is a non-invasive, conservative means of treating all sorts of ailments. From neck and back pain, to headaches, sprains, strains, and sore muscles, to soothing therapy to relieve the stress of daily living.
Unless you and Dr Clark decide a more conventional approach makes the most sense, chiropractic care is an alternative medicine worth exploring without the need for the masking effects of pharmaceutical treatment.

Chiropractic Manipulation:
The Adjustment:
The most commonly recognized form of therapy delivered by a chiropractor, adjustments are designed to affect the various joints of the body, and the ligaments and muscles that support them. Dr. Clark uses the minimal amount of force necessary to adjust and, depending on the patient, may be anywhere from light and gentle, to quite forceful. This technique allows us to release tension and improve circulation, and therefore heal, at the site of an adjustment.

Physical & Sports Therapy:
Active & Passive Stretching Techniques:
Utilization of various reflexes in the nervous system to help relax and increase the flexibility of a tight muscle group. These techniques are often used in conjunction with massage therapy or chiropractic manipulation to complete a whole-systems approach to soft tissue healing. |
Rehab Exercise Training:
One-on-one sessions focused on relating specific movement patterns and rehabilitation-type exercises to provide the patient with the tools necessary for self help. These exercises are designed to improve flexibility, strength, balance, tone, and muscle awareness around an injured or painful area, or for the purpose of restoring function to a neglected or weak area. At times, pain in common areas, such as the neck or lower back, may be due to failure or stress of important muscles in surrounding areas.

Trigger Point Release Therapy:
Focused pressure and release, combined with a stretching technique used to alleviate knots in your muscles. Often, these knots are the pain generators of headaches, muscle discomfort, and more generalized pain in a particular region of the body. This is a very useful technique for pain management of chronic and recurrent injuries.

Massage Techniques:
Massage Therapy:
All massage treatments are tailored to the individual's tolerance and comfort, while still allowing for therapeutic benefit.
Swedish Massage:
Mild to moderate pressure with soothing rhythm induces a relaxing treatment with the added benefits of improved circulation, tissue fluid exchange, and therefore nutrient exchange to aid in tissue healing.
Deep Tissue Massage:
Firm, concentrated pressure is applied to target deep tissue structures. This technique is designed to release muscle spasm, and break up adhesive scar tissue which may be a source of pain. Known to be quite intense, the results of well-delivered deep tissue massage can be very relaxing and improve nagging recurrent pain.
Cranial/Facial Massage:
Excellent for headache and congestion relief, and overall stress reduction. Light to mild force which encourages fluid movement and decompression of tense musculature. Improved lymph fluid drainage from the head and neck, and enhanced circulation to areas commonly tensed due to stress.
Sports massage:
Improvements in flexibility, endurance, and injury risk are results of this therapy, which actively involves the patient at various times. Also useful in addressing and improving current injuries by changing muscle tone and improving circulation. A useful technique used to counteract and balance the rigors of a training program.
